Registration for 2023-24 is now open!
All Scouts, both new and returning, must complete the registration form:
Scouts: Reg $80 (up from $75 in 2022), Program Fee $30, Scout Life $15:
Total Charged by Council $125.00 Plus one time joining fee of $25 if app.
Adults: Reg $60 (up from $45 in 2022)
Merit Badge Counselor: $25 fee if not registered with a unit.
2023 Troop 160 registration fee set for $ (voted 9/11/23)
Note: Council only charges a max of two Program Fees / family in Council
Our Scouting year is off to a great start, and we are excited for the many adventures that await our Scouts & Troops this year. Below is the outline of this year's greater and greater financial pressures due to the rising costs of goods and services. We were recently informed that the registration and program fees our Troops pays to BSA National/NEPA Council to register your Scout(s) have increased to $125. In addition to the registration fee, our Troop committee anticipates spending an additonal $125-150 in program costs per scout for things such as badges, camping trips/food, event registration fee, equiptment, etc. After carefully reviewing all these fees/costs the Troop committee has decided for the 2nd year in the row, to not increase the 2023/2024 Troop registration fee and wil hold it to last year's rate of $125. These facts outline the critical importance of our only fundraiser - The Troop 160/1600 French Toast Breakfast - to help pay the Difference between our registration fees and our program costs.
